Xiaoxitian Temple in Xi County, Linfen: a masterpiece of hanging sculptures and a holy land of Buddhism.

Introduction to the scenic spot: Xiaoxitian, formerly known as Qianfo Temple, is located on the top of Fenghuang Mountain west of Xi County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province. It was founded in the second year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty. Although the temple is small, it has an exquisite layout. The most famous ones are the hanging sculptures in the main hall of the upper courtyard, which is known as the Chinese Hanging Sculpture Art Museum. Transportation Guide: It takes about 2 hours to drive from Linfen city; you can also take the high-speed rail to Linfen West Station and then take a taxi. There are parking lots around the scenic area. Recommended food: Xixian roasted gluten has a chewy texture; casserole noodles are made of jue slices, which have a unique taste; beef meatball noodles have chewy noodles and fresh and fragrant sauerkraut; the bowl-shaped buckwheat noodles are made with seasonings, which are sour and spicy; and there is also yuluxiang Pears are beautiful in shape, juicy and sweet. Tour route: Entering the scenic area, the double mountain gate is simple and elegant; the lower courtyard has the Wuliang Hall and the Weituo Hall, and the wooden carvings of the heavenly palace are exquisite; the upper courtyard's Great Hall is covered with large-scale painted hanging sculptures, and the surrounding Manjusri Hall and Samantabhadra Hall also have exquisite colored sculptures and murals.
