Xiaoxitian.

Xiaoxitian, also known as Qianfo'an, is located on the top of Phoenix Mountain in the west of Xixian County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province. In the seventh year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1634), it was founded by Master Dongming. Qianfo'an is a Buddhist Zen temple. It was named after the thousand Buddhas in the Daxiong Hall, and later renamed Xiaoxitian to distinguish it from another Ming Dynasty temple, "Daxitian", in the south of the city. The hanging sculptures in the Daxiong Hall of Xiaoxitian are colored sculptures hanging on the wall, which began in the Tang Dynasty and were created around the Buddha statues on both sides, behind and above the hall. Its characteristic is that it is layered from top to bottom, forming a full hall of hanging sculptures of the Buddhist holy land, known as the "hanging sculpture masterpiece". The hanging sculpture art of Xiaoxitian is not only large in number, it is said that there are nearly 2,000 hanging sculptures of Buddha statues, but also exquisite in craftsmanship, colorful, and can be called a masterpiece in the history of Chinese sculpture. These hanging sculptures not only show superb sculpture skills, but also contain rich religious and cultural connotations, and have become important materials for studying the history of Chinese Buddhism and sculpture art. In addition, Xiaoxitian also has a rare official version of the "Ming Yongle Beizang", which provides valuable materials for studying Chinese Buddhist history, Tibetan scriptures, ethics and even folklore. In November 1996, Xiaoxitian (Qianfo'an) was listed as the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
