Xi'an‖Qinglong Temple | A Flower, A World; A Step, A Journey

Qinglong Temple is the ancestral home of Esoteric Buddhism, with a very long history. It was originally built during the Sui Dynasty. During the Tang Dynasty, the Japanese monk Kukai came to the Tang Empire to study and received direct transmission of Esoteric Buddhism at Qinglong Temple. He later brought what he learned back to Japan, where it became widely spread. The temple was destroyed during the Ming Dynasty and partially restored in the 1980s. It opened to the public at the end of 2011 and is currently a AAA-rated scenic spot in Xi'an. It is famous for its rich variety of cherry blossoms and exquisite Tang-style architecture, making it a great place to experience the legacy of the flourishing Tang Dynasty and enjoy natural beauty. 🔆Transportation Guide • Metro: Take Xi'an Metro Line 3 or Line 5 and get off at Qinglong Temple Station, then walk to the scenic area. • Bus: There are several bus stops nearby.
