Huajue Lane Mosque, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province

First built in the 25th year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming dynasty (1392), the mosque was renovated and expanded three times during the Jiajing and Wanli reigns of the Ming dynasty and the Qianlong reign of the Qing dynasty, forming its current scale. It is a Chinese-style ancient building complex that perfectly combines Chinese classical architecture and Islamic architectural styles. The existing mosque is in the Ming and Qing architectural styles, with an east-west rectangular shape, covering an area of more than 12,300 square meters. It consists of four courtyards along the east-west direction, with more than 180 halls, buildings, pavilions, and rooms.
