[Mosque] Collection: Rich in quantity: The museum houses more than 200,000 specimens of cultural relics unearthed from sites and tombs of various historical periods since the Paleolithic Age. A total of 4,891 pieces/sets of cultural relics are on display in the permanent exhibition. Shaanxi Archaeological Museum has many cultural relics that can be called the treasures of the museum: - 🍀Li Jue's crown: unearthed in the Tang Dynasty, it is the only restored Tang Dynasty female crown in China. Its owner, Li Jue, was the fifth-generation granddaughter of Emperor Gaozu of Tang, Li Yuan. The crown was made with a large number of precious treasures, including 370 gems and weighing more than 800 grams. It was made using a variety of techniques including casting, hammering, and gilding, representing the highest level of art and craftsmanship at the time. - 🍀Hollowed human-faced basin-shaped vessel: unearthed from the Yangguanzhai site in the middle and late Yangshao period, it has a unique shape, like a "flower pot" with a cute face, but its specific purpose is currently unknown. - 🍀Xi Zun: A cultural relic from the Shang Dynasty, it is shaped like a deer head and phoenix, and is extremely rare. It is praised as "the cutest Xi Zun in the history of the Shang Dynasty", and has extremely high archaeological research and artistic appreciation value. - 🍀Luo Wanshun Epitaph: It is the first epitaph written by Yan Zhenqing unearthed through archaeological excavations. As an early work of the great calligrapher Yan Zhenqing, it has extremely high artistic value and is known as the "ceiling" of artistic value in the "epitaph world". - 🍀The remains of the Hejiazhuang chariot and horse pit: Known as the "first luxury chariot in the Western Zhou Dynasty", it is the earliest bronze chariot and horse. It is huge in size and complex in structure, representing the highest level of the chariot system in the Western Zhou Dynasty. - 🍀Stone sculptures of human heads unearthed from the Shimao site: There are more than 20 pieces in total. This is the first stone sculpture of this kind discovered in China. The carved human faces have vertical eyes, wide mouths, and long beards. They may represent the image of a hero or king of the Shimao Kingdom, reflecting the beliefs and concepts of the time.
