Take Bus 738 at the bus stop 50 meters south of the gas station to Shaanxi Archaeology Museum (Bus 738 may take a long time to arrive, so if you are in a hurry, you can also take a taxi). - 🌻If you are driving, navigate to Shaanxi Archaeology Museum. The museum has a paid parking lot. - 🚩Visit the museum (about 1.5–2 hours): - 🌻Shaanxi Archaeology Museum is the first archaeological museum in China. It opens at 9:00 and stops ticket checking at 16:20. Prepare your ID card in advance and swipe it to enter. - 🌻After entering the museum, you can first visit the "Archaeological History" exhibition hall on the first floor to learn about the birth and development of modern archaeology. There are many interactive devices here, and you can touch tiles from different dynasties. Then visit the "Cultural Genealogy" exhibition hall to learn about the archaeological history from the Paleolithic Age to the Xia, Shang, and Zhou Dynasties. - 🌻Then go to the "Archaeological Discoveries" exhibition hall on the second and third floors, where major archaeological discoveries such as the epitaph of Shangguan Wan'er and the Eastern Han Dynasty star mural are displayed. Finally, visit the "Cultural Relics Protection Technology" exhibition hall to learn about the technology and achievements of cultural relics protection and restoration. 2. Afternoon: Xiangji Temple: - 🚩Go to Xiangji Temple (about 15–20 minutes): From Shaanxi Archaeology Museum, you can take a taxi or bus to Xiangji Temple. You can take Bus 4–14 to Xiangji Temple Station. - Visit Xiangji Temple (about 1 hour): - Xiangji Temple is the first ancestral temple of the Pure Land Sect of Chinese Buddhism and is open to the public for free. After entering the temple, you can first see the archway written by Master Zhao Puchu. Then visit the Shandao Pagoda, which is the pagoda of Master Shandao, the founder of the Pure Land Sect, and is a key cultural relic. Then admire the Tang Dynasty Dharani Sutra Pillar in the flower bed in front of the Mahavira Hall and feel the magnificence of the hall. Along the central axis, you can also see the Hall of Heavenly Kings and the stele galleries on the left and right sides. The stele galleries contain inscriptions by eminent monks and calligraphers of past dynasties, such as Master Hongyi and the great calligrapher Yu Youren.
