Perhaps, just like the name of the hotel, its legend has always been on the stage of history

I personally think this is the most attractive hotel in Xi'an! The hotel is quite imposing, and every time I look at it, I am overwhelmed by its grandeur. This hotel is the Sofitel Legend People's Grand Hotel Xi'an, which is part of the Accor Group, and the hotel was formerly known as the People's Building. There are only a few Sofitel Legend hotels around the world (Xi'an, China; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Aswan, Egypt; Hanoi, Vietnam; Santa Clara, Colombia), and the Grape Group has its own standards for selecting locations for these legendary hotels, which are said to be buildings with a history of over 50 years. The Sofitel Legend in Xi'an is a garden-style building complex, and taking a walk inside at night is quite romantic. The front building is the Sofitel Hotel, with two side buildings housing a grand theater and a Chinese restaurant, and in the middle is the main building, the legendary hotel, followed by the luxurious Mercure at the rear. On the west side of the entire complex is the provincial government, and then it's a 10-minute walk to the Bell Tower on East Street. The hotel rooms offer butler service, and the staff all wear tailcoats. There are not many rooms, and there are only a handful of twin rooms. The decoration style of the rooms is particularly to my liking, with furnishings that are not small, a connecting walk-in closet that shapes the room into a 'return' character layout, and the floor is laid with wooden herringbone parquet. The mini bar in the room is free, and the drinking water provided is Paris water. There are two bathrooms in the room, one at the entrance and the main bathroom is equipped with Lanvin toiletries, opposite which is their so-called 'museum' room, displaying former hotel items. The hotel breakfast is served in the lobby, which is small, but sufficient due to the limited number of guests. All room types in the hotel are executive rooms, which include dinner. The food is exquisite and tastes super good, better than the average level of Marriott, and I especially love their smoked salmon. The breakfast offers a mix of a la carte and buffet, with a la carte options like French pancakes, waffles, and Eggs Benedict, and the buffet includes Xi'an specialties like oily tea and twisted doughnuts. The overall style is luxurious and elegant without being ostentatious. The legendary hotel stands out like the finishing touch in Xi'an's matrix of luxury hotels, and is definitely worth exploring for its charm.
