Wuzhen Dragon Boat Festival: A Symphony of Ancient Charm and Folk Traditions

During the Dragon Boat Festival, Wuzhen transforms into a stage for traditional culture, presenting a symphony of ancient charm and folk customs. From May 31 to June 2, 2025, Wuzhen will host the themed event "Wuzhen Dragon Boat Festival Customs Chronicle," blending tradition with modernity and culture with trends. During the day, visitors can participate in making dragon boat lanterns to experience the allure of traditional culture, visit the Mu Xin Art Museum for an artistic immersion, or explore the Ankang Market to shop for Dragon Boat Festival-themed cultural creations. On June 1 and 2, eight rowboats will be linked together to form a "water dragon," offering a new scene and experience of the water town's "Five Yellows" dining tradition. The dining ceremony is uniquely designed, with NPCs striking gongs to commence the feast, accompanied by traditional customs such as painting foreheads, wearing colorful ropes, and bathing in orchid water. Every bite of the food carries profound cultural significance. Additionally, on the lawn of Ling Shui Ju, a folk carnival connects festival experiences through a stamp collection activity. Collecting five stamps allows participants to enter a raffle to win customized Dragon Boat Festival gift boxes, postcards, and other exclusive prizes. In the dumpling-making area, a special "Zongzi Fragrance and Sentiments" segment lets visitors write wish tags and send Dragon Boat Festival blessings using paper boats. At night, the charm of Wuzhen continues with lantern boats and stunning photo opportunities amidst the smoky atmosphere. The enchanting night scenery of the water town is truly mesmerizing.
