Hey everyone 👋, is there a song that, like a gentle breeze carrying the fragrance of rapeseed fields and the poetry of Hui-style ancient villages, stirs your yearning for the famous city in northeastern Jiangxi? I came here because of the song "Beautiful Wuyuan": "Wuyuan's mountains, hidden in the clouds and mist, Wuyuan's water, flowing gently, Hui-style houses, scattered in rows, waves of flowers, golden ripples, Huangling's sun-drying, painted into a wonderland, Wen Gong's teachings, passed down through the ages, Wuyuan's beauty, intoxicating the heart, a dreamy water town, poetic and leisurely." These picturesque and charming lyrics vividly showcase Wuyuan's unique charm, making me eager to embrace this city. In March, filled with anticipation, I embarked on a journey to Wuyuan. Check out my travel guide! 🌆Wuyuan, located in the northeastern part of Jiangxi Province, is a small city known for its beautiful idyllic scenery and rich Hui cultural heritage. It enjoys the reputation of being "the most beautiful village in China." In March, rapeseed flowers bloom all over the mountains and plains, resembling a golden ocean. There's the fairyland-like Huangling Ancient Village, with its white walls and black tiles, layered upon each other, famous for its sun-drying folk custom. There's also the simple and tranquil Jiangwan Ancient Town, with winding bluestone paths, ancient archways, and ancestral halls, carrying a heavy history. Wuyuan in March, with spring returning to the earth, warm sunshine, and blooming flowers, is the perfect time to travel. 🚗Transportation Guide ✈️Airplane: You can first arrive at Jingdezhen Luojia Airport or Huangshan Tunxi International Airport, and then transfer to a bus or high-speed train to Wuyuan, which is quite convenient. Wuyuan Station has many train services, and the surrounding buses and taxis are readily available to quickly take you to various scenic spots. The city buses mostly operate from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. You can use Alipay or WeChat ride codes for payment. Check the bus app for real-time information before traveling. 🚗If you are driving, the Hangrui Expressway and Dewu Expressway pass through the city. The road signs to various scenic spots are clear, and there are plenty of parking lots in the scenic areas, so parking is not a problem. 🗺Recommended Itinerary Day1️⃣: Huangling - Shimen Mountain Canyon (Visit Huangling Ancient Village in the morning to admire the terraced rapeseed flowers and Hui-style buildings, experience the sun-drying folk custom, and go to Shimen Mountain Canyon in the afternoon to enjoy outdoor adventures.) Day2️⃣: Jiangwan Ancient Town - Xiaoqi - Wangkou (Stroll through Jiangwan in the morning, visit ancient buildings such as Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall, explore the history of the ancient town, go to Xiaoqi in the afternoon, wander through the ancient villages, enjoy the idyllic scenery, and watch the sunset over the ancient village at the Wangkou viewing platform in the evening.) Day3️⃣: Likeng - Sixiyan Village (Visit Likeng during the day, stroll along the stream, enjoy the comfort of a small bridge, flowing water, and houses, go to Sixiyan Village in the afternoon, appreciate the exquisite Hui-style houses, and visit the unique shops.) 🌟Must-See Attractions 📍Huangling: Take the cable car into the village, and you'll be greeted by a breathtaking view of golden terraced rapeseed fields covering the mountains, forming a beautiful picture with the scattered Hui-style dwellings. In the ancient village, every household dries chili peppers, corn, and other crops, creating a colorful, year-round sun-drying landscape. The Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall is magnificent, with exquisite wood carvings. Walking through the ancient streets and alleys is like traveling back in time, allowing you to truly experience the profoundness of Hui culture. 📌Practical Tips 1. Book Huangling tickets online in advance, including the cable car. It is recommended to spend a whole day there, watching the morning mist and enjoying the sunset. Shimen Mountain Canyon tickets can be purchased on-site or online. Pay attention to safety during the tour and wear comfortable shoes. 2. The combined ticket for Jiangwan Ancient Town, Xiaoqi, Wangkou, Likeng, and Sixiyan Village offers good value. Check the opening hours of each attraction in advance. You can hire a tour guide in Jiangwan Ancient Town for a deeper understanding of the history and culture. 3. March is the peak tourist season in Wuyuan, so book your accommodation in advance, especially near Huangling. The local cuisine is mainly Hui cuisine. Try the steamed pork with rice flour, mashed tofu, and other local specialties. Humming "Beautiful Wuyuan" and strolling through the streets of Wuyuan, I truly felt the charm of this city.
