Osmanthus Flowers in Bloom | Half-Day Leisure Tour in Wuxi's Dangkou Ancient Town

Recently, I was amazed by the osmanthus flowers in Shanghai, and then I remembered that we have such a place in Wuxi too! It's in Dangkou Ancient Town! The white osmanthus flowers blooming like waterfalls cover the mottled walls of the ancient town. I stayed in this venue for more than an hour, really enjoying his cartoons. He satirically criticizes various ugly and backward phenomena in society with his cartoons, which are humorous and hit the nail on the head, very refreshing! 📌Visiting sequence of Huahengfang's Former Residence: Front Hall → Small Hall → East Wing Room → West Wing Room → Dunhui Hall → Corridor → Liyu Pavilion → Xingsu Pavilion 1⃣️Front Hall: You can see two plaques, the upper one written by the mathematical authority Wu Wenjun, reading 'Pioneer of Modern Science in China', evaluating Huahengfang's life. The lower one is a plaque inscribed by Huahengfang's granddaughter at the age of 101. 2⃣️Small Hall: You can see quite a few preserved green bricks, there are not many highlights in the small hall, you can just walk through. 3⃣️Dunhui Hall: The main hall is divided into two parts, one is displaying Huahengfang's mathematical works; the other part is a replica of the Huanghu number, which is the model of the first motorized wheelship made by Mr. Huahengfang. It was the invention of this ship that laid the foundation for the construction of many warships later on. 4⃣️Liyu Pavilion: This is where Huahengfang's father read and met with friends, named after the two banyan trees planted in the courtyard. The walls around Liyu Pavilion are all made of glass, looking very transparent, which was a rare material at that time. 5⃣️Xingsu Pavilion: The last part is Huahengfang's own study, named 'Xingsu Pavilion', after his representative work 'Xingsu Pavilion Mathematical Manuscript'.
