Praying for Blessings at Mount Wutai

Mount Wutai, the foremost of the four sacred Buddhist mountains in China, is located in Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. As the spiritual sanctuary of Manjushri Bodhisattva, it is renowned for its profound Buddhist cultural heritage and magnificent natural scenery. Located at the western foot of the mountains in Taihuai Town, Guanghua Temple is one of Mount Wutai's imperial temples. The temple's buildings are arranged in a well-structured manner, with upturned eaves, brackets, carved beams, and painted rafters, showcasing an ancient and elegant style. Guanghua Temple is even more stunning at night. As the lights come on, the entire temple is illuminated, and the golden glazed tiles gleam brilliantly, resembling a mystical Buddhist palace in the night, filled with a solemn and dreamy atmosphere. The White Pagoda, officially known as the Sarira Stupa of Sakyamuni Buddha, is a landmark of Mount Wutai. Entirely white, the towering pagoda reaches into the clouds, piercing the sky with its majestic presence. It houses the relics of Sakyamuni, carrying the faith and prayers of countless believers. At any time, you can see numerous devotees devoutly circumambulating the White Pagoda, a truly moving scene. Dailuo Peak gets its name from its dark green color and spiral-shaped peak. To reach the top, one must climb 1,080 steps, also known as the "Great Wisdom Path." The scenery along the way is picturesque, and upon reaching the summit, you can overlook the magnificent view of Mount Wutai, with temples scattered among the rolling hills. The temple at the top enshrines five statues of Manjushri Bodhisattva. A single visit here is equivalent to visiting the Manjushri statues at the five main peaks. Hence, there is a saying, "If you don't climb Dailuo Peak, you haven't truly visited Mount Wutai." It is a must-visit destination within Mount Wutai.
