Camel Peak Scenic Area

The Tuo Liang Natural Scenic Area is located in the southeastern part of Mount Wutai, bordering Hebei Province, 33 kilometers away from Mount Wutai, with a total area of 74.5 hectares. The entire scenic area is shaped like a resting camel, with the highest point of the camel hump at an altitude of 2381 meters. The Tuo Liang Scenic Area is surrounded by mountains that soar into the clouds. The ecological environment is almost pristine, with vegetation coverage exceeding 90%. There are more than 800 species of wild animals here. Although the area is in a cold region, from the blooming of azaleas in May to the blossoming of autumn chrysanthemums in September, the fragrance of flowers is continuous. Inside the scenic area, streams babble, shrubs grow thickly, and exotic flowers and plants, as well as mountain delicacies and wild birds, can be seen everywhere. Together with natural formations like White Cloud Cave, Water Curtain Cave, and South Heaven Gate among the ten major landscapes, they form a miraculously beautiful fairyland on earth. The entrance to Linhai Camel Peak is on the Shanxi side, and right after entering is the cable car, which takes about ten minutes to reach the top of Camel Peak. The entrance to Tuo Liang is on the Hebei side, where you need to take a shuttle bus to the ticket checkpoint, then walk for half an hour to the cable car, and after descending the cable car, you still have to climb for an hour to reach the top of Camel Peak, which is located on the Shanxi side, in Wutai County.
