- By car: It's a direct 2-hour drive, and the scenic area offers free parking, making self-driving super convenient.
- High-speed rail: It only takes 1 hour to reach Fanchang West Station. From there, it's about a 28-minute taxi ride to the scenic area.
2. Ticket Information:
- Combo ticket: I highly recommend the 228 RMB combo ticket. It grants access to 12 attractions, including the main gate, glass slide, glass walkway, glass bridge, mist slide, jungle zipline, pony feeding, and the cable car up, offering excellent value for money.
- Single ticket: If you just want to explore the scenic area, a single entry ticket is only 80 RMB.
3. Spring Romance: Now is the perfect time to witness the mountain flowers in full bloom. Pink and yellow wildflowers blanket the hillsides, offering picture-perfect spring scenery at every turn.
4. Route Recommendations:
- Cable car up: Take the fairytale cable car up the mountain and visit the Dragon Horse Spirit, Ox Stone Platform, Love Corridor, Crucian Carp Back, Stone House, Sun Cave, glass walkway, glass bridge, and Sky Mirror. Finish with a thrilling ride down the glass slide. Easy and fun!
- Hike up: Start your journey from the Wisteria Tunnel, pass through Fuding Square, and hike through the Nanmu forest to reach the first viewing platform. The rest of the route is the same as the cable car route. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and the pleasure of hiking.
5. Sliding Tips: If you plan to try the slides, remember to bring a raincoat. Don't worry if you forget; they're available for purchase at the scenic area for 10 RMB per set.
6. Must-See Spots:
- High-altitude forest glass slide: 3,000 meters long with a 200-meter drop and 18 sharp turns. It's a whirlwind of excitement and screams, made even more romantic by the wisteria blossoms along the way.
- Glass walkway: The wisteria arch on the cliff face looks like a dreamy entrance to a fairyland, perfect for photos.
- Glass bridge: This high-altitude glass bridge spans between mountain peaks. Some sections of the glass simulate a "cracking" effect for an extra thrill. The wisteria waterfall beside the bridge is breathtaking.
- Sun Cave: When the setting sun shines into the cave entrance, the golden light creates a magical atmosphere, perfect for stunning photos.
- Stone House: Located near the Sun Cave, its unique shape showcases the wonders of nature.
- Crucian Carp Back: This narrow mountain path is flanked by cliffs on both sides, making for a thrilling walk.
- Fuding Square: On weekends in March, you can get free "fortune bags" here, adding to the festive atmosphere and blessings.
- Wisteria Tunnel: This long wisteria corridor is a riot of color, reminiscent of the scene described by Bai Juyi: "Wisteria flowers bloom in no particular order, ten thousand blossoms open at once."
7. Fun at the Foot of the Mountain: Don't rush off after descending the mountain. Experience the thrill of the jungle zipline, feed the adorable ponies up close, or try the fun high-altitude zipline over Moon Lake.
8. Food Recommendations: There are many farmhouse restaurants in the villages at the foot of the mountain. Be sure to try the authentic Anhui farmhouse cuisine for a culinary journey.
9. Pet-Friendly: The slides here are pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends along for double the fun.
10. Accommodation Recommendation: If you want to stay longer, Ma Ren Mountain Villa Nanyuan at the foot of the mountain is an excellent choice. Surrounded by mountains, you'll wake up to the sound of birdsong in the morning. Pure bliss.
