Wuhu Museum houses cultural relics unearthed from Han Dynasty tombs in the Wuhu area.

The main tombs excavated in Wuhu are the Hejiayuan Tombs in Yangjiachang, Jiujiang District, and the Zhushan Han Tombs in Fanchang District. In 2010, two Han Dynasty tombs were also discovered at the "Dongfang Nongcheng Construction Site" at the foot of Zheshan Mountain in the urban area, but their grades were not high. The "Wuhuchang Seal" was unearthed from the Zhushan Han Tomb in Fanchang District, a rectangular earth pit tomb facing north and south. Also unearthed were two other seals (Chen Qiang's private seal) and pottery, copper belt hooks, iron swords, iron knives, copper rings (rings), copper coins and other objects. According to the seal, it is inferred that the owner of the tomb was Chen Qiang, the highest official of Wuhu County during the Wang Mang period, known as the "Wuhuchang". The excavation of this tomb is of great significance to the study of the historical formation of Wuhu, the establishment of administrative divisions, the burial system and social and economic conditions during the Western Han Dynasty. "Wuhu" (Wuhu) as a county-level administrative name first appeared in the second year of Yuanfeng during the reign of Emperor Wu of Han (109 BC), which shows that Wuhu as a county-level administrative unit should have existed before that.
