Must-Stay in Wuhan! Xiangfu Marriott Hotel Unveils New City Perspectives

The Wuhan Xiangfu Marriott Hotel, opened in 2023, is ideally located in the heart of Zhongbei Road, Wuchang District, connecting to Qingyuzui Station on subway Line 4. With Sha Lake to the west and East Lake to the east, the hotel is surrounded by the Chu River, offering stunning views of both lakes and cityscape. It's less than 10 kilometers from Wuhan Railway Station, approximately a 30-minute drive, making it highly accessible. Upon entering, the elegant lobby showcases a design that blends Chu-Han and Three Kingdoms cultures, skillfully combining Eastern aesthetics with classic Western style, creating unique charm at every turn. During check-in, the front desk staff provided warm service and thoughtfully offered drink vouchers. A latte at the lobby bar with its rich aroma sets the perfect tone for a wonderful stay. Guest rooms are located on floors 45-66, making it a true high-rise hotel. I stayed in both a Skyline King Room on the 66th floor and an Executive Suite on the 55th floor. The Skyline King Room features typical Marriott business style decor, but the 66th-floor views are breathtaking, offering a commanding view of the city. The Executive Suite is a lake-view room with spacious interiors, featuring a well-designed layout with a living room, bedroom, two bathrooms, and a dressing room. Dried flowers in the living room add elegance, and the welcome amenities include two bottles of Perrier and a generous fruit platter. The bedroom offers comfortable bedding and beautiful bedside lamps, with a distinctive Yellow Crane Tower pattern and mother-of-pearl-like pearlescent wall decorations. The master bathroom has a large vanity, though oddly with only one sink, but comes complete with both bathtub and shower facilities. Wall-mounted large-size amenities are conveniently placed. The only drawback was that the renovation odor hadn't completely dissipated. The Executive Lounge on the 61st floor is a highlight. During happy hour (5:30-7:30 PM), it offers excellent food with a wide variety of options, including impressive dishes like braised pig tail and braised tendon. Breakfast is served from 6:30-10:00 AM, featuring authentic Xiangyang beef noodles and fresh watermelon and cucumber juices that are particularly refreshing. The hotel's gym is well-equipped and uncrowded, providing a great experience. The infinity pool is stunning, where sky meets water, offering views of lakes, mountains, and sunset - perfect for combining swimming with scenic enjoyment. Overall, this stay was excellent. The hotel features new facilities, great views, and service that meets Marriott standards. While there are minor issues like room odors and bedding texture, the positives far outweigh any negatives, making it an excellent choice for both tourism and business trips to Wuhan.
