Baotong Temple - A splendid prayer sanctuary hidden in the bustling city

🍁 Baotong Zen Temple is known as the first Buddhist site in the Three Chus and is the oldest existing temple in Wuhan, founded during the Southern Dynasties Liu Song period (420-479 AD), originally named Chushan Temple. 🍁 Baotong Zen Temple is referred to as Wuhan's 'Mini Forbidden City'. Its classical architecture features yellow walls with red tiles, flying eaves and upturned corners, pavilions, and towers, all dazzlingly colorful. The extensive bright yellow walls are just too beautiful! 🍁 The architectural style here is fantastic, with the Shengseng Bridge, the Mahavira Hall, the Jade Buddha Hall, and various other buildings constructed along the mountain in a well-arranged and colorful manner.
