This historical story has drawn me to the Ancient Guqin Terrace in Wuhan

A bit of a popular history story called 'Bo Ya Breaks the Strings' tells of the Chu Kingdom's qin master Yu Boya who came to this beautiful place at the foot of Turtle Mountain to express his emotions. By chance, he met a woodcutter named Zhong Ziqi coming down from the mountain, who could actually hear that Yu Boya's music expressed 'high mountains and flowing water,' which pleasantly surprised and astonished Boya. Years later, when Boya passed by Turtle Mountain again and learned that Ziqi had passed away, he was so grieved that he broke his qin's strings. To commemorate this touching historical story, people later built the Ancient Guqin Terrace, which was reconstructed at the beginning of the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty (1796). Coming down from the famous Turtle Mountain scenic area in Wuhan, the Ancient Guqin Terrace is right in front of you, located on the picturesque banks of Yuehu Lake. From a distance, the Ancient Guqin Terrace, nestled among the greenery, reveals its ancient roof, and without realizing it, I quicken my pace, eager to experience the charm of the terrace. Upon closer inspection, I am somewhat disappointed to find the terrace undergoing large-scale renovation and is closed. Reluctantly, I walk around the terrace, circling it until my companion grows impatient and says, 'What's there to see?' I am already in my own mode of emotional contemplation, with no time to pay attention to him. I think to myself, music is such that the most precious thing between people is the resonance of hearts, which can transcend time, break through the barriers of age, and open up geographical boundaries. This is the charm of a kindred spirit. Walking across the 'Kindred Spirit' bridge on Yuehu Lake, I am deeply moved. The blooming lilacs by the lake emit a faint fragrance, adding a touch of mood and romance. The scene is particularly beautiful and inviting. Just like that, I look up at the sky, close my eyes, and take a deep breath of the fragrance, quietly staying for a while, thoroughly enjoying it, which gradually diminishes the regret of missing the Ancient Guqin Terrace. After crossing the Kindred Spirit bridge, the other side of Yuehu Lake is very serene. From the introduction, I learn that the ancient Yuehu Lake is over five hundred years old, consisting of three parts: East Yuehu, West Yuehu, and Tang Yuehu. East Yuehu has disappeared, and what we are now stepping over is Tang Yuehu, themed around kindred spirits.
