Enjoying Cherry Blossoms at East Lake in Wuhan

The East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden is a prime spot for cherry blossom viewing in Wuhan during spring. Covering an area of 260 acres, the garden boasts over 10,000 cherry trees. More than 10,000 cherry trees bloom in succession in the garden every spring. Varieties There are over 30 varieties of cherry blossoms, including precious species such as Oshima cherry, Sekiyama, Yoshino cherry, and weeping cherry. Tour Route Enter from the main gate and exit from the west gate. The route includes Moshan Scenic Area - Five-Story Pagoda - Hualian Pond - West Gate - Eye of East Lake - Azalea Garden - Cableway - Sightseeing Greenway. Touring clockwise, you can first walk through the central area and finally take the cable car to overlook the view. Around the central lake are more than 300 blooming weeping cherry trees.
