Mount Oberon Summit

#australiatrip Amazing views. Well worth the long and difficult walk. From a small carpark, which you may have to park along the side of the road, it’s a decent continuous grade hike for just over 4kms. There is a short rocky stair section at the end at the communication towers to make it to the summit, and a good place to catch your breath. Once at the summit there are two rocky areas to make the most of the spectacular views. The way down is much more relaxing as you return to the carpark. There are a few other hikes available from this carpark also, just be mindful of closures due to damage from severe weather on these other tracks.
