Dublin, Ireland Travel Guide - Experience

This is purely an experience sharing. Although I work in the tourism industry, I am not opposed to it. Even if you drive yourself, I hope that my experience can help you. There are many attractions in Dublin city that normally take two days to complete. So I divide the suburbs of Dublin into the northern suburbs and the southern suburbs, each with one day. Today I will share a guide for a one-day tour of the southern suburbs. There are three stations in total. Stop 1: Powerscourt Estate - Built in 1300, it is ranked third among the top ten gardens in the world selected by National Geographic magazine. The gardens include the Italian Garden, the Japanese Garden, and the Walled Garden. In the 1720s, German architects rearranged the layout based on the original foundation and it was completed by 100 workers in 12 years. Experience: Normally, if you go to the garden from the center of Dublin, there are two routes, one is M50 and M11, and the other is R117. I personally recommend taking the small road R117 because you can see the Wicklow Mountains along the way. The beauty lies along the way. Stop 2: Glendalough Roundtower & Cathedral The round tower is the tallest building in Ireland, 33.5 meters high and inclined 0.45 meters. The whole canyon is shrouded in mist, and the tombstones make it very mysterious. I personally think it feels better here on cloudy days. The tower was built in the 7th century and completed in the 10th century. Experience: Climb the mountain on a sunny day so you can see the black lake. Stop 3: Bray Head Cliff Walk The third stop depends on the remaining time. If time is limited, you can watch the sea at Bray Head Cliff Walk. If you have enough time, you can take a Cliff Walk. I personally highly recommend this route. There are three routes to the top of the mountain. When you reach the top, you will really feel like you can see all the other mountains. The Dublin skyline is so low that you will find that most of Dublin is in sight. Experience: Try to wear non-slip shoes. It is easy to go up the mountain, but it may be slippery when going down the mountain after it rains.
