- History: The market was prosperous a thousand years ago. It was called "Wutian Market" in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was once a distribution center for trade in Wenzhou and the center of Xiahe Township. In the 1980s, the arcades, wharves, and alleys along the river were unique. - Architectural features: The street is surrounded by blue bricks, black tiles, and waterways. It is more than 500 meters long along the Tanghe Scenic Belt. The construction idea is to promote "overall protection, reasonable retention, and partial transformation and utilization" to create a space form of "banyan, pavilion, bridge, temple, and water street". The height of the building is kept within three floors. - Street structure: The street is planned along the Wenruitang River. The inland river system breaks the spatial form and forms six island areas. Seven scenic spots are set up on the old street, such as Yanshui Nantang and Yongchang Chun She. 24 imitation ancient buildings will be built to represent the evolution history of Wenzhou architecture, and 10 cultural landmarks such as Qingyun Archway, Zhuangyuan Wharf, and Kuixing Pavilion will be set up. - Business forms: The street integrates tourism and entertainment, cultural leisure, residential communities, and other functions. It introduces intangible cultural heritage experience formats such as "Ancient Ou Yue Creation Place" and Dongou Academy, trendy cultural formats such as "Dream Field Music" and "Sound", and new formats such as Ou cuisine catering and Chinese teahouses. - Cultural activities: With the four festivals of "Wutian Lantern Festival", "Wutian Nianhua Festival", "Wutian Music Festival", and "Wutian Market" as the carrier, a new IP of characteristic youth tourism culture is created. - Traffic: From February 5, 2024, Ouhai District will open a free night bus line for tourists. The bus departs from Longxia S1 Station at 17:15 every night and arrives at Wutian Old Street Station at 21:30.
