Delicious private cuisine hidden in the community-"Wei Zi Man"

The private Japanese restaurant "Wei Zi Man" located on Jingxing Road in Taipei City is not on a regular street, but is hidden next to an old community and has no sign. Most of the people who come here are regular customers or those who come here specially. There are not many tables, which is very similar to the private cooking restaurants in Japan. But basically everything you can eat in an izakaya is available here, from cold cuts, grilled food, fried food, sashimi, udon noodles, grilled rice balls... everything is available, and there is also the store’s own special dishes, which are very special. Today I will introduce you to some special dishes🍴 -Grilled Green Bamboo Shoots with Miso Green bamboo shoots are produced in spring and summer every year. They have a delicate and delicious taste. After slicing, they are drizzled with some miso sauce and grilled to enhance the sweetness of the green bamboo shoots. It is a very popular dish. - Cod liver The cod liver here is round and thick, served with onions, drizzled with vinaigrette and sprinkled with seaweed. It has no taste of offal at all and is a very refreshing appetizer. - Grilled corn The corn shoots grown locally by small farmers in Taiwan are grilled with the skin on, fresh and juicy. -FriedTempura There are taro, pumpkin, eggplant, sweet potato and two large balls of fried burdock, fish fillet and prawns. The batter is of moderate thickness and fried crispy. It is pretty good. - Chicken skewers The processed chicken thighs are tender and juicy, and the sauce is also grilled to perfection. I recommend it to friends who love barbecue. - Grilled mushroom skewers, grilled beef skewers, grilled lamb skewers The grilled dishes are all well prepared, and I especially recommend the mushrooms, which are grilled to be juicy and sweet.  -Grilled Beef Short Ribs It tastes very chewy and paired with yellow mustard sauce and lemon, it is quite tasty -Salmon Rice Balls The rice balls were grilled on both sides and had plenty of salmon filling, so you could taste the salmon in every bite. - Raw beef salad The raw beef is tender and chewy, and paired with onions topped with Japanese sauce, it is very delicious.  -Eel rice Although there was only one piece of eel, the white rice with the sauce was also delicious, and paired with a piece of candied sweet potato, the whole thing tasted sweet.  - Thick grilled egg-Eel omelette The tamagoyaki is soft, tender and sweet, with eel in the middle, giving it a rich and layered taste. - Fried oysters It was very well prepared, with a crispy outer layer and juicy and fresh oysters inside. It is one of my favorite fried dishes.  - Wild mushroom fern Although it is a cold dish, the overall taste is very good. The wild mushrooms are paired with wild ferns and a slightly spicy sauce, which is very delicious. - Sashimi platter The salmon is paired with soft fish, slightly sour vinegar, chopped green onions, and cucumbers to create a refreshing dish. The slightly seared swordfish fillet is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. -The store also serves boiled edamame and freshly baked mochi topped with plenty of peanut powder, which are considered the store's signature side dishes.
