Dining at Shed 5: Lovely Setting, Mixed Impressions

#newzealandtrip Our dinner at Shed 5 in Wellington was a blend of highs and lows. The setting was elegant and inviting, creating a great atmosphere for the evening. We enjoyed seafood chowder, lamb tenderloin, grouper with brown butter mash, and seafood risotto. While the presentation was appealing, the flavors didn’t quite hit the mark—the lamb and grouper felt underseasoned. The seafood risotto stood out as a highlight. Unfortunately, service was slow, with nearly an hour wait for the mains, suggesting possible understaffing. Despite these hiccups, the overall experience was pleasant but fell short of expectations. Shed 5’s charm remains, but it might shine better on a less busy day.
