Transportation Guide • Bus: Take bus K1 from Weihai North Railway Station and get off at "Liugong Island Pier" stop; take bus K2 from Weihai Railway Station and get off at "Liugong Island Pier" stop. • Self-driving: Navigate to Liugong Island Passenger Transport Center and park your car in the parking lot of the center. The west parking lot is closer to the entrance of the ticket inspection hall. • Taxi: Take a taxi from Weihai downtown to Liugong Island Pier, which takes about 20–30 minutes. Ticket Information • Ticket price: The standard price is CNY 122, including round-trip ferry tickets and island attraction tickets. • Ticket purchase: You can book tickets on the official website of Weihai Liugong Island or major online travel platforms, or buy tickets on site. Opening Hours The first ferry to the island departs at 7:30, the last ferry to the island departs at 15:00, and the last ferry from the island departs at 17:30. Travel Route • After arriving on the island, visit the Jiawu War Museum to learn about the history of the Jiawu War. Next to it is a 1:1 replica of the Dingyuan Ship, which you can board and visit. • Then go to Liugong Island Expo Park, which has the Sea Temple, China Sea Altar, British Concession, Weihaiwei History Museum, etc. • Then go to the Whale Museum, which displays whale specimens, etc. There is ambergris on the third floor. • Take a tour bus to visit the East Hong Battery, Rare Animal Park, Submarine, and other attractions. If you choose to walk, you can see the Beiyang Navy Admiral's Office from the opposite direction of the disembarkation point, then go to Ding Ruchang's residence, and go up the slope to the zoo. Continue up to the Qiding Mountain Battery, and walk along the road from the zoo entrance to the Naval Academy. After leaving the Naval Academy, you will see the decommissioned submarine. Other Suggestions • It is recommended to check the specific departure time of buses or tourist lines in advance to avoid missing the last bus. • You can prepare some bread and other food to feed the seagulls on the boat. • The sun is strong on the island, so you need to take sun protection measures and prepare water and snacks.
