The building itself is beautiful with huge columns, detailed ceilings and a grand staircase. I spent more time looking at the architecture than the books. The main reading room looks like something out of a movie. There are exhibits too with old maps, documents, and even handwritten letters. It’s quiet, clean, and feels very grand. Definitely one of the nicer indoor spots to check out in D.C.
