Jordanian desert! Wadi Rum and its starry sky

Wadi Rum in Jordan was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. Known as the "Valley of the Moon," Wadi Rum is a vast desert landscape filled with red sand dunes and huge sandstone mountains. The desert is incredibly beautiful, and being there feels like stepping into a different world. The landscape is stunning, with large rock formations that rise high above the desert floor. These cliffs and canyons have been shaped by wind and sand over thousands of years. As I explored the desert, I was amazed by how the colors changed throughout the day. During sunrise and sunset, the desert glows in shades of red, orange, and gold, which was truly breathtaking. The quiet of the desert, with just the sound of wind blowing across the sand, made the whole experience even more peaceful and special. One of the best parts of visiting Wadi Rum was seeing the night sky. Because there is almost no light pollution, the stars shine brighter here than in most places I’ve ever been. At night, I lay down and watched the stars, completely in awe. The Milky Way was visible, stretching across the sky, and I could see so many stars and constellations. It was a magical moment, and the silence of the desert made it even more powerful. Spending the night in a Bedouin camp added to the experience. The Bedouins, who live in the desert, were incredibly welcoming and kind. We sat around a campfire, ate traditional food, and shared stories under the stars. The cool desert breeze made the night even more comfortable and memorable. Wadi Rum is more than just a desert—it’s a place where the beauty of nature and the vastness of the sky come together in a way that’s hard to describe.
