Tatra Mountains – “Poland and Slovakia’s Shared Alpine Treasure”

#holidayitinerary 📌 Location: Poland & Slovakia border The Tatra Mountains are a hidden gem of Europe, with alpine lakes, rugged peaks, and charming chalets. I based myself in Zakopane, Poland, and hiked to Morskie Oko—an emerald lake surrounded by steep granite cliffs. The trail was scenic and easy, with horse-drawn carts for those who prefer a lift. For a more challenging trek, I tackled parts of the High Tatras on the Slovak side—steeper, quieter, and equally stunning. What I loved most was the mix of adventure and tradition—wood-carved lodges, mountain food, and cozy vibes. Perfect for hikers and mountain lovers who want something under the radar.
