MON VLN

Vilnius, Lithuania, November 2024 @mon.vln is a contemporary café nestled among the cobbled streets, historic architecture, and landmarks of Vilnius Old Town. Warmth pours out through the windows of this otherwise nondescript building, while inside, modern lines and decor provide a striking contrast to the historic beauty of the Old Town. I believe it’s relatively new, as it hadn’t appeared in any of my previous searches for speciality coffee spots, but it wholeheartedly deserves a place on the list. On this visit, I went a bit off-piste, I’ll blame it on the snow which had just started to fall outside. Drawn in by the promise of warmth, I opted for a tempting hazelnut mocha and a chocolate bun. Doubling up on the cocoa was perhaps a bit decadent, but the day was going well and I felt I deserved it, especially since I’d missed lunch earlier.
