💈Talun (meaning imperial tower or grand tower) 📍Located north of Vientiane, Laos, 5 kilometers from the city center, Wat That Luang Temple is to the north. 🎫Ticket: 30000kip/person 🈺️Opening hours: 8:00-12:00, 13:00-16:00 (closed on Mondays) · 🔛Founded in 737 AD (some say it was built by King Ashoka over 2000 years ago), it was originally just a small pagoda built on a square stone pedestal. 🔱In the year 1566, King Setathirak of Lan Xang built a large tower on the basis of the small tower, named "Pha That Luang Chanthabouly Ratsamani", meaning the stupa of the Buddha's relics, where the Buddha's relics are buried under the tower. · 🛕The Ta Lou is entirely made of gray brick architectural structure, consisting of 1⃣️ main tower and 30 satellite towers, with a worship pavilion built on each side. 🔲The tower base is square, the upper part is circular, and the tower tip is conical, towering into the clouds and piercing the sky. ☝️The top of the main tower is gold-plated (it is also said that the spire is made of pure gold). In the sunlight, it shines brightly and dazzlingly. · 📸Must-take photo spot‼️ 1⃣️Go early and take some great photos at the entrance of Taloqan Gate👍(pic 1). 2️⃣️The square tower has a magnificent base, and every corner 🦏 is a must-see (picture 2). 3⃣️Talun Back Worship Pavilion, take a photo from left to right 👉, you can capture the outside Buddhist temple (picture 3). 4️⃣️The cloister around the Ta Lou tower is also beautiful when photographed with vanishing lines (Figure 6) ♻️. 5️⃣️After coming out, go around to the left side of Talo, 👈 where there is a golden reclining Buddha statue (Figure 8). · ⚠️Tips‼️ 🔺Talun Scenic Area ↔️Both sides of the Buddhist temples (including the reclining Buddha) are free of charge. 🔻The That Luang Festival, the largest folk temple fair and the most solemn and grand religious festival in Laos 🇱🇦, is held here every November. ·
