The breathtaking Rathausplatz

#celebratewithtrip On my recent trip to Central & Western Europe, I decided to explore a little more of Vienna, Austria. My wandering took me to the fabulous and grand Rathausplatz. The Rathausplatz, in German, translates to "city or town square". And it's certainly been that way for decades! The Rathausplatz often plays host to significant and huge events in Vienna, such as the Christkindlmarkt (I'll be sure to return near Christmas next time to experience this!) and the film festival. It also is home to various other medium and large scale events. If you find yourself hungry, go grab a bite at the Café Landtmann, which makes some delicious cake and Viennese pastries. Getting there: Easiest would be by subway! Take the U2 line and alight at "Rathaus" station. There are various tram services too if you want to head there in an authentic Viennese way. I know services 1 and 71 head to the Rathaus. Address: Rathausplatz, 1010 Vienna, Austria. Overall, highly recommend not to give this a miss when in Vienna, Austria.
