We decided to conquer the Nordturm, the cathedral’s north tower, for a bird’s-eye view of the historic streets below. The climb was steep, but once at the top, the panoramic views of Vienna made it worth every step. After descending, we took a stroll through the nearby streets, soaking in the old-world charm of Vienna’s architecture and lively atmosphere around Stephansplatz. 🚇 Vienna’s excellent public transport made getting around a breeze. We took the U1 metro line directly to Stephansplatz, conveniently placing us right at the cathedral’s doorstep. 📷 The Gothic details of Stephansdom’s exterior were mesmerizing, with its intricate carvings and the colorful, patterned roof. Inside, the towering pillars and beautiful stained-glass windows provided a perfect backdrop for photos. The top of the Nordturm offered unparalleled views of Vienna’s rooftops and streets, making it a must-snap moment. 🍜 We headed to Rinderwahn, a popular local spot known for its gourmet burgers. The perfectly cooked Austrian beef burgers, paired with crispy fries and delicious toppings, were a fantastic contrast to our historical morning.
