Best time to catch spring blossom in Vienna

#aprilblooms Spring is one of the best season to travel to Vienna. The city is in full bloom and every district has pretty magnolias, sakura or spring flowers. I’m obsessed with magnolia trees and cherry blossom. Spring is the season, when I’m on standby and I make sure that I visit the most famous flower spots and take pictures just in the right time. But when is the right time? It’s not easy to tell, because it’s depends on the weather. Magnolia and Sakura are blooming quite at the same time, could start from the mid March but this year it started later, the first week of April. 1. MAGNOLIA AT VOTIVE CHURCH – SIGMUND FREUD PARK (The one on my pictures) Probably the most visited and busiest magnolia tree in Vienna. Every time I went there, there were always a lot of people taking photos. No wonder why. The beautiful pink magnolia flowers and the church combination are made this tree so iconic and beloved. It’s located in the Währingestraße – Straße des Achten Mai corner. 2. MAGNOLIA TREE STADTPARK This breathtaking tree is one of the largest and most beautiful tree in Vienna. It is located in the heart of Vienna, near the InterContinental Hotel. 3. SETAGAYAPARK – JAPANESE GARDEN It’s a tiny little park located in the 19. district in Vienna. It is designed by a japanese landscape gardener. Setagayapark emulates a Japanese landscape and it contains several garden elements that are typical of Japanese gardens. It even has a Japanese tea house, a “Yukimi style” stone lantern and a fountain as well. The purpose of this design is that “people should observe this work of art in tranquillity and try to find their own inner peace.”
