Cap Spartel and Hercules cave

Your journey begins by departing the city of Tangier for the short drive through Tangier corniche before winding your way to Cap Spartel. This is one of the promontories projecting into the waters where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. Continue to Hercules’ Caves, where legend has it that the super-strong hero took his last breath after separating Gibraltar from Africa. The caves are a series of underground passages and a number of prehistoric relics have been discovered here.
