Vernazza day trip 🇮🇹

#italytrip Spent a day in Vernazza, and it felt like stepping into a postcard! This charming village in Cinque Terre is everything you imagine an Italian seaside town to be. We got there by train, which was super easy and only a few euros from La Spezia 🚆. There’s no entrance fee to wander around Vernazza, but if you want to hike the trails connecting the villages, you’ll need a Cinque Terre Trekking Card, which is about €7.50. First thing we did was head to the harbor. The view of the colorful houses against the deep blue sea is just stunning 🌊🏘️. We grabbed a seat at a café right on the waterfront for a cappuccino and just soaked in the atmosphere. For lunch, we couldn’t resist trying the local seafood pasta – it was delicious! 🍝🦑 After lunch, we hiked up to the Doria Castle, which has a small entrance fee of around €2. The views from up there are absolutely worth it; you get a perfect panorama of the village and the coast. We also strolled through the narrow streets lined with shops selling everything from handmade ceramics to local lemon products 🍋. Vernazza is small, but it’s packed with charm.
