Churches, as important symbols of religious dissemination and colonial rule, were built in large numbers. The Colonial Church in Tomave, built in the 17th century, was born under such a historical background. The Colonial Church in Tomave blends traditional European architectural styles with local characteristics. It incorporates elements of the Spanish Baroque style, such as intricate carvings and curved shapes, while also integrating local building materials and techniques, reflecting regional characteristics.
