A hidden waterfall in Nikko, shrouded in silence

#0 yen trip "Jakko Falls" in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture is a beautiful waterfall that flows down in seven stages, about 50 meters high and 6 meters wide. It is also called "Nunobiki Falls" or "Seven Waterfalls" because of its appearance, and is counted as one of the Eight Views of Nikko. It is surrounded by bamboo forests and few people visit, so you can watch the waterfall while listening to the sounds of nature in silence.   The name of the waterfall comes from "Jakko-ji Temple" that once stood here. It is said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi in 820, but was abandoned due to the separation of Shinto and Buddhism in the Meiji era, and its history is now conveyed as Wakako Shrine. On the way to the waterfall, there is a huge rock called "Ikeishi (Iwaishi)", making it a walking path that combines history and nature.
