Wat Sa Kamphaeng Yai in Si Sa Ket Province

A Thai temple with Khmer cultural style, it's easily accessible near the main road, but the temple's parking is a bit limited. If it's full, you have to park outside. The ordination hall is magnificently constructed with an entrance archway. The Buddha statues are clearly in Khmer style, but the main Buddha image in the hall is in Thai style. Behind it, there's a large Buddha flanked by two giant serpents (which also resemble Naga). The highlight is an ancient castle within the temple grounds that is also quite large and can be explored. There's a large statue of Luang Pu Khrong for visitors to pay respects and ask for blessings, and there's also a Chinese-style area. Visiting this temple, you get a mix of Thai, Chinese, and Khmer experiences.
