Xinjiang is not suitable for budget travel, nor for travel without planning; you must prepare a thorough strategy before coming. 2. The scenery in Xinjiang is greatly affected by the weather; a sunny day and a cloudy day can look like completely different places, so it's recommended to check the weather forecast before visiting attractions. 3. No matter what month you come, bring a windbreaker or a thick coat; the temperature varies greatly between the mountains and the valleys, and it cools down quickly after sunset. 4. I don't recommend going to the popular photo spots in Nalati; it's very crowded, and if you really want to take photos, be prepared to queue for a long time. 5. Xinjiang has a time difference of two and a half hours from the mainland; it generally gets dark around 9-10 PM. 6. Don't buy souvenirs in scenic spots; go to local large supermarkets instead, where there is a wider variety and cheaper prices. 7. Xinjiang's climate is very dry, and the ultraviolet rays are strong; make sure to take good sun protection and moisturizing measures. 8. Don't join large tour groups or shopping tours; the distances between attractions in Xinjiang are very far, and it's really tiring to sit on a bus.
