Uji, Kyoto｜Shojuin Temple

#GlobalTravel "Shojuin" in Uji is an old temple. The most eye-catching thing is the heart-shaped window called "Inome window". The original meaning is because the ancients believed that pigs' eyes are heart-shaped. The unique heart shape is not only cute and romantic, but also allows you to enjoy the scenery outside the window with distinct seasons. You can see different beauty in different seasons, which attracts many travelers to visit. Don't forget to look up and admire the paintings on the ceiling. There are over a hundred paintings on the ceiling, depicting the scenery of Japan in different seasons. The paintings are colorful and dazzling. If you go during the cherry blossom season, Shojuin Temple is open for special tours at night. We also booked a minibus from Uji Station to Shojuin Temple.
