If you are someone who gets excited when you smell the fragrant butter coming out of the oven and are looking for a good croissant cafe in Udon Thani that is not only beautiful in appearance but also delicious in every bite — I must say that “Better Half Bakehouse” is the answer! This shop is located in Sinchai Thani Village. It is easy to find because just drive into the alley and you will see a cute white house surrounded by trees, giving a warm feeling like eating pastries at a Japanese friend’s house. The shop is decorated in a minimalist-warm style. There are both indoor and outdoor seats, perfect for those who love taking pictures. The natural light makes my face look radiant without a filter! But the highlight here is not just the beautiful shop — it is the “croissants”. Oh my gosh, they are so good!!! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and fragrant with butter that you can almost close your eyes and chew. When you chew, you will cry. There are many croissants to choose from, both classic ones with fillings such as almond croissants, bacon cheese croissants, or if you like sweet things, you must try the chocolate filling, topped with a light layer of icing sugar. It is so good that you will want to eat two pieces in a row! Another menu that I love is the “Truffle Croissant”. It is so smooth and has an expensive truffle aroma. The taste is rich. Pairing it with black coffee is so awesome. I ordered an iced Americano to sip together. It cuts through the richness really well. And did you know that they also have a “Croffle”? It is crispy and has a crunchy sound when you bite into it. Eating it makes you feel happy like you are falling in love all over again! Speaking of coffee… caffeine lovers, don’t worry. They have a lot of menus, such as black coffee, cappuccino, latte, matcha, cocoa, and light menus like lemon soda or peach soda. The price of the drinks is around 75-120 baht, not expensive at all when compared to the quality and care in making them. Sit and eat, chat with friends, people are always coming and going. Let me tell you, this shop is very popular among cafe hoppers in Udon Thani. If you don’t want to miss it, I recommend going early because the food sells out really fast. Sometimes by 2 pm, there is almost nothing left! The staff are also lovely, polite, and provide friendly service like friends. They don’t pressure you. They give you plenty of time to choose your menu. If you don’t know what to order, you can ask for recommendations.
