🇮🇩 Sunrise on Lake Toba @ Samosir Island

Lake Toba is a tranquil haven located in the northern part of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is one of the largest volcanic lakes in the world formed by a massive volcanic eruption approximately 74,000 years ago. It spans about 1,145 square kilometers and reaches depths of up to 505 meters. The lake's serene and picturesque setting is complemented by Samosir Island, which lies in the middle of Lake Toba. Samosir Island itself is almost as large as Singapore and is known for its traditional Batak culture, scenic landscapes, and charming villages.
