[Hokkaido] Kushiro, the city with Japan's largest marshland

Kushiro is a city in eastern Hokkaido, about four hours away from Sapporo Station on the Ozora Limited Express. From Kushiro Station, in the center of the city, we took the Kushiro Shitsugen Norokko sightseeing train on the Kushiro-Nemuro Line to Kushiro Shitsugen Station, enjoying the scenery. In Kushiro Shitsugen National Park, we walked through the vast marshes and encountered wild animals and plants, and were overwhelmed by the beauty of nature. From the observation deck, we could see the entire marshland, and the sheer size of it was overwhelming! Kushiro is also famous as a port town, and we enjoyed fresh seafood at the Kushiro specialty robatayaki, and felt the old-fashioned atmosphere as we walked through the city. Kushiro was a memorable place, where the grandeur of nature and the warm atmosphere of the town were exquisitely blended. #Spring0yenTrip
