Trip to Trier, Germany 🇩🇪

It was a trip to Trier, Germany with family. We started our day at the Porta Nigra, the largest Roman city gate north of the Alps. Walking through this imposing structure felt like stepping back in time, and the view from the top was absolutely breathtaking 😍 It’s the perfect spot for photos, especially in the soft morning light ☀️ I would recommend visiting early to avoid the crowds and capture the majestic gate from different angles 📸 📍Porta-Nigra-Platz, 54290 Trier, Germany We also explored the Trier Cathedral, Germany’s oldest church ⛪️ Its blend of Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque architecture is stunning, and the interior is just as beautiful 🙌 Don’t miss photographing the intricate stained glass windows 🪟 and the cloisters. I’d recommend spending at least an hour here, as every corner has something unique to offer. 📍Liebfrauenstraße 12, 54290 Trier, Germany We then visited the Basilica of Constantine, an ancient Roman imperial throne room. Its immense size and simple yet awe-inspiring design make it one of the most striking places in Trier 😍 The afternoon light streaming through the tall windows creates the perfect setting for dramatic photos 📸 I highly recommend taking your time here to truly appreciate its grandeur. 📍Konstantinplatz, 54290 Trier, Germany We also explored the Imperial Baths, one of the largest ancient bath complexes in Europe 😍 Walking through the tunnels and ruins gave us a real sense of the history of Roman Trier. The site offers plenty of photo 📸 opportunities, especially if you enjoy capturing architectural details. It’s best to visit in the late afternoon when the golden light highlights the textures of the ancient stones. 📍Weberbach 41, 54290 Trier, Germany We then ended our day with a leisurely stroll along the Moselle Riverbank. The serene waters, paired with the view of Trier’s bridges, made for a perfect sunset photo session 📸 I’d recommend this as a peaceful way to wind down after a day of sightseeing.
