An aviation museum where you can watch planes take off and land up close

Business hours: 9:30-17:00 Closed: Tuesday How to get there: Take the bus to Prefectural Nagoya Airport from in front of Midland Square (opposite Meitetsu Nagoya Station) just outside the east exit of Nagoya Station. Get on at the front door of the bus and pay 700 yen (cash only) in advance. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the museum. If you have large luggage such as a suitcase, you can store it at the museum reception. The museum is spacious and you can see airplanes, helicopters, Blue Impulse aircraft, and videos of Impulse's exhibition flights. If you take the elevator at the back left of the museum entrance to the rooftop, you can see the touch-and-go training of the Komaki Air Self-Defense Force's transport aircraft C-130H, which repeatedly takes off and lands. It is close to the runway and there were many parents and children and people with cameras looking forward to the powerful sound and aircraft. There is nothing to block the sun on the rooftop, so it is convenient to bring a hat or parasol. Around 12:00, in between touch-and-go training for transport aircraft, commercial aircraft, helicopters, and small planes were taking off and landing one after another, making it seem like a very busy airport, and it was a lot of fun. The exhibition space below was air-conditioned, and some of the planes on display were even open to the public. There were also many wonderful miniature models, making this a museum that can be enjoyed by both families and those who want to take their time to look around on their own. If you get hungry, you can also have a meal at the food court in the shopping mall next door. This is a place I highly recommend to anyone who loves planes. #AichiAviationMuseum #PlaneLover #PlaneMuseum #Plane
