The temperament of slow travel is hidden in these libraries (3).

Qifu City Central Library Address: 40-5 Sicho, Qifu City, Qifu County. Transportation: 25 minutes walk from JR Gifu Station or Meitetsu Gifu Station. The Qifu City Central Library is located in the "Everyone's Forest · Gifu Media Universe" in the center of Qifu City. It is a complex cultural facility designed by the master architect Tadao Ando, integrating a library and exhibition hall. The entire building has a beautiful wave-shaped roof, and on the dark-colored exterior walls, large areas of glass and metal frames intersect vertically, creating a unique and stylish atmosphere. The decoration style inside the museum is particularly eye-catching. The Japanese cypress wood on the ceiling is arranged in a criss-cross pattern like waves, full of dynamic energy and interpreting the concept of "forest". Eleven huge, semi-transparent "domes" with beautiful textures hang from the ceiling, varying in size and pattern, designed with great imagination and stunning form. These hemispherical objects are called "globes", serving as both lampshades and cleverly dividing reading and functional areas, making the entire indoor space open and orderly, relaxed and lively, and also promoting air circulation and insulation, reducing energy consumption. The library houses over 530,000 volumes and has up to 900 seats. Soft lighting and an open reading space create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere where you can read, study, quietly converse, or take a nap. If you feel tired, you can also step out onto the corridor or terrace to enjoy the breeze and scenery, refreshing your mind and spirit. It is worth mentioning that the library's visual guidance system was designed by the famous designer Kenya Hara, showing the attention to detail. Toyama City Public Library Address: 5-1 Nishimachi, Toyama-shi, Toyama-ken Transportation: 20-minute walk from JR Toyama Station, 1-minute walk from Nishimachi Electric Bus Stop. Located in the center of Toyama City, TOYAMA KIRARI is a complex building designed by the architectural master Kengo Kuma and completed in 2015. The Toyama City Library and Glass Art Museum are both located in this building, which has now become one of the popular tourist attractions in Toyama City. The appearance of the entire building has a strong modernist style, using a combination of different materials such as granite and glass, arranged like piano keys, with a simple and avant-garde style that leaves a deep impression. Toyama City has a long history of glass manufacturing, which Kengo Kuma cleverly incorporated into the design. Walking into the building, I was amazed by the familiar "Kuma-style technique" - large parallel panels of locally produced cedar boards decorated on the ceiling, giving a feeling of walking in a towering forest. There is a large glass skylight on the roof, and natural light is projected from here, refracted onto the cedar boards and decorative glass, creating a soft lighting atmosphere and a comfortable visual experience. The library uses wooden bookshelves, floors, and tables and chairs, creating a fresh and soft atmosphere. The large slanting cedar boards hanging from the ceiling not only serve as interval dividers, but also make the entire space transparent and smooth, with excellent visual effects. The library houses 450,000 books, including general books, children's books, and professional books on business or art. There is also a café and a shop, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and relax while reading.
