Another church built on ruins

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Tarragona (Region) Its construction began in 1347 on the ruins of a Romanesque cathedral and was completed two centuries later. The Baroque-style facade was built in the 18th century. Designed by Benito Dalguayre, it has three naves with chapels between the buttresses, and a cloister with radiating chapels. The 13th-century cloister adjoins the south side of the building and is accessible from the inside through the Oliveira Gate.
