Faroe Islands | Polar Summer Solstice Celebration

#Overseas Travel #Faroe Islands #Natural Travel #Nordic Travel After a 25-hour journey from Hong Kong to London to the Faroe Islands, I came across Overbooking for Hostel, but found no place to stay, so I had to look for a place to stay. After a series of tiring activities, we chose to stay in Torshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands, the next day. This capital city, known as the smallest country in the world, is really small. It only has an SMS Shopping Mall, a dozen shops and restaurants, and very few commercial activities. The day we stayed in Torshavn was Friday. Because it was mid-summer, the government held various programs to attract citizens to go out. At first I just thought there would be a music performance at the Church starting at 6pm, but after walking around, I saw a large group of people gathered at the terminal to watch a group of rescuers doing rescue work. The locals told me that it was the Torshavn Volunteer Search and Rescue Team who were holding an exhibition and performance, and also displayed a rescue helicopter and rescue boat. I ended up watching for two hours in the cold wind. It is really cold here. Before we set off, we learned from the weather forecast that the temperature would only be 6 to 7 degrees Celsius on the summer solstice. Since the locals speak Faroese or Danish, we couldn't communicate. I saw a building next to the terminal and many people walked in. It turned out to be an insurance company. It was open tonight for music performances and the sale of colorful decorations in the Faroe Islands. During my week in the Faroe Islands, I found that they love colourful. The fabrics and decorations are also colorful. They especially like to add bright colorful colors to glass products, which is exactly my taste. When I wandered over to the Tourist Information Centre, I found out that it was open for music performances. There were also different activities on the main street opposite the TIC. Some people were giving speeches, some were performing music, and some were selling DIY handicrafts. All in all, Everywhere in Torshavn like festival this night! #Overseas Travel# I miss you so much
