Though we didn't catch a live ceremony, the hall's detailed displays spoke volumes—from the ornate Double Happiness wedding bed to the exquisite phoenix crowns and embroidered bridal gowns displayed under the glow of red lanterns. We marveled at artifacts like lacquerware dowry boxes and silver hairpins while informational signs explained traditions such as the Three Bow Ceremony and ancestral tea offerings. A full-scale Qing Dynasty bridal chamber recreation, complete with symbolic dragon-and-phoenix candles, was particularly striking, as was the gilded wedding sedan chair.Though quiet during our visit, the space still evoked the rich ceremonial spirit of Jiangnan weddings.
