1 hour from Hangzhou, Ginkgo Forest Farm is the ultimate autumn and winter spot for kids to play

Last weekend the weather was super nice, so we visited the farm located in Tonglu's Ginkgo Forest for the second time. The ginkgo leaves had turned yellow, and there were many fallen leaves on the ground that rustled as you walked on them. Combined with the playground facilities and a variety of hands-on activities at the farm, our kids played all day long. Great weather makes it worth the trip! - 🟡 About the playground facilities There’s a non-powered playground, swings, trampolines, slides, animal feeding, and even a little train in the forest. Just these alone kept the kids very happy. During the ginkgo season, you can enjoy tea by the campfire under the ginkgo trees, which feels very cozy and is perfect for a few families to gather. The farm has a restaurant and a café to solve meal needs. However, meal times require a long wait, so it’s recommended to bring extra food or order takeout. - 🟡 About the hands-on activities They are available every hour daily and require advance booking as spots are limited. It’s best to arrive early to book the activities your kids like. We booked the “Pick an Egg and Make an Egg Tart” activity for our kids. They collected eggs on the farm and participated in every step of making the egg tart, having a great time. Kids aged 2 and above can join. Other activities include planting succulents, making cute pumpkin buns, autumn leaf painting, and clay chicken drumsticks. They all look fun and the activity times don’t overlap. - 🟡 Other information Opening hours: 09:30-17:30 Tickets: One adult and one child 98 RMB, adult 68 RMB; tickets can be used as credit for purchases inside the farm
