Yuqing Hall in Xufan Village, Tonglu, Zhejiang

Xufan Yuqing Hall is located in the middle of the village. It has three bays and two entrances, covering an area of ​​about 100 square meters. It has thick beams, wide columns, full beam cheeks and sturdy column bodies, all of which reflect the richness of the Ming Dynasty when timber resources were still relatively abundant. The part under the eaves, the back seat and the columns next to the gable are obviously thin, which may be a recent modification. The bottom of the beam is curved, the top of the beam is covered with curled grass, and a water wave machine is made under the purlin. There is a pavilion in front and a hall in the back, and the front is shallow and the back is deep. Standing four feet above the threshold of the back porch, looking forward to the sky, you can get a ray of sunlight. It is completely consistent with what is recorded in "Lu Ban's Construction Official Manual". There is a door in front of the house and carved stone drums on both sides. Yuqing Hall is of great value for understanding Ming Dynasty architecture. A key cultural relic protection unit in Tonglu County.
